Hotel inngood location, close to the Paddington Station. Good for a short stay, with tasty but average breakfast. Small rooms and bathrooms.

Good place to stay in an excellent location
Simple, no frills hotel in an excellent location for exploring London and near the tube. We walked to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens going to Buckingham Palace and Kensington Gardens. Easy to get the tube into central London and with one change to the O2. Very nice and helpful hotel staff. Stayed in a clean and spacious basement room after asking to be moved from a fifth floor room, due to the many stairs and no lift which I struggled with being a pensioner! Great shower. Can hear the rumble of trains, but was not a problem as was out most of the time. Staff did inform us if we moved rooms it would be noisier. Simple breakfast included in the price of toast, cereal, cheese etc which was all I needed. Can pay a few pounds extra for a cooked breakfast if needed.

Great location for a quick stay
Fabulous and convenient location! 1-5 minutes walk from tube, 3-7 minutes walk from eateries, souvenir store right around the corner. But: it's an old building, which means great from hstoric point of view, but zero sound-proof. It's also located right above the tube line, so get ready for some shaking (which stops around 11pm). Bed was clean and tidy, shower worked perfectly, so I would def.recommend it for quick 1-night stay when you need only to drop your bags and your body :)

Cheap and cheerful for overnight stay, would definitely use again. Stairs were a bit of a pain but you get what you pay for I suppose

The Dolphin and staff were great! And close to Paddington. Expedia did not send change of check-out date to hotel resulting in an extra 100 GBP charge for an an extra night. I hope Expedia refunds me for the mistake.

A good short stay.
Even though I was late arriving, and had lost my paperwork earlier, I was still greeted with courtesy and a helpful attitude at the reception desk, which put me at ease. The room was small, but ideal for my short stay with a clean en-suite and ample shower, with hot water. I was able to relax, and sleep in a comfortable bed. The TV worked and the positions of lighting switches and sockets was good. There was a working fridge, (which I didn't use). The Kettle for Tea & Coffee was provided and worked well. I have stayed at The Dolphin Hotel several times and I got the feeling that there has been some improvements made. As a solo short stay visitor, I find The Dolphin offers a good service at a reasonable price for London, but I do advise to book well in advance.

We had a great time staying at the dolphin, it was so close to Paddington station With a quiet park right across the street, and the front desk staff was very helpful! We’re planning to stay there again the next time we come to London.

There was a lot of issues e.g. the chargers were hard to get to and we had to move the bedside table, my daughters charger got very warm , the tv didnt work, the shower took ages to warm up and the grate in the bathroom kept falling off and left a hole on the bathroom floor when it did and the water took ages to drain in the shower

I only needed a bed for the night and it was adequate for that reason. The underground would have woken me at 6am, when it started, if the Gulls had not already. They let me drop my bag early which was great and the staff were very polite. Did not stop for breakfast, so could not tell you much more about the place. Very convenient for Paddington railway station and underground.

We just stayed for one night, it's not the most fancy hotel of course, and is priced accordingly. Simple room with comfortable beds and friendly staff; that's all we really cared about and they got it right. We arrived slightly before check-in time but they let us check-in anyway. They offered free baggage storage on checkout day as well which meant we could enjoy an extra few hours in london without carrying all our stuff around. It's just a couple of minutes walk from several tube lines and also from the heathrow express. It sits on a very quiet and classically west london little square. Served our needs perfectly.

It was alright, however, I was staying on the main floor and could hear every single person coming in and out of the building, as well as the door to breakfast was right outside of my room and would slam constantly every early morning. I grew up with trains so I thought I would be okay with them .... they come every minute. It was constant shaking and loud noises. The room itself was passable, small but appropriate for how cheap it was. The shower was small however typical for a city location. Overall, the room was okay but the noise was horrendous. If you do choose to stay at this site, if they try and put you in the main floor room, I would recommend you ask them for a different room.
