Good location
Excellent location but the room was cold. Radiators hidden behind long curtains. Dirty paint work on bathroom door.

Judges court hotel
Stayed in judges court hotel for 2 days , we was in room 6 with the roll top bath , room was lovely could not fault and the reception staff were welcoming . Had everything we needed also close by to the shops . Me and my partner were doing our paranormal investigations in our room and safe to say quite a few spirits came through especially the little boy named William who sits on the chair in the reception 👻. Haven’t been to York since I was a child and now returning 22 years later it’s fun knowing the history of York and it’s very interesting. We would highly recommend this hotel it’s was a great experience.

Nestled in a busy shopping district this beautiful old hotel was a delight to visit. Walking distance to all you might want to see while secluded at the same time.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable with great service in a perfect location. The only inconvenience was the lack of hot water. The shower was barely warm which made our stay difficult

It’s my second stay at this hotel for an overnight at York. It’s such a small, cozy hotel. Even when having to carry my luggage up the stairs, still worth it.

Lovely quirky little hotel tucked away amongst the shops but has so much character from the decor to the little touches of a coffee machine and kettle with complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Weekend Away
Pros: location very central to railway station, shops and attractions. Good communication prior to stay, able to store luggage until room ready and access slightly early as room ready on arrival. Bed comfortable, warm room, good shower, fluffy towels and heated bathroom floor.
Cons: decor overall very tired, ground floor room with window directly next to pub garden (luckily it was Feb and very cold otherwise would have had to keep window/curtains closed for privacy and safety). Noisy at night either due to external fan (didn't stop until 3am Sun morning) and/or internal fans from rooms above. Despite fab location wouldn't stay again. And yes we know it's an old building and city centrally located.
