Drain flies in the room
There were drain flies in the room and despite reporting it on numerous occasions during our stay I am still waiting for the manager to call me back. The staff were polite and friendly but were unable to move us. It overshadowed our anniversary stay at the hotel, which was a shame because the location was excellent.

Nice location, clean hotel, room not very comforta
I had previously stayed at the hotel for 1 night in July, and really liked the location and the room in the main hotel building I stayed in, so I booked it again for a weekend trip away for my partners birthday. Although on this occasion I was given room 556, the smallest room, in the basement in the devonshire house aspect of the hotel across the road from the main hotel. The room was barely big enough for 1 person, never mind 2. there was a window over looking a small square of outside space between the other sides of rooms/the building. Which had a security/sensor light on that seems to light up everytime you roll over in bed. The bed its self was so uncomfortable, the mattress and pillows where so hard it felt like we had lay on a pile of bricks all night. I wouldnt say sleep as we barely got any. The hotel itsself if clean & tidy and the location was ideal fpr us, a little out of the main hussle and bustle and close to the events we had booked. But unfortunately this trip has put me off staying there again.

Arrived at the Hotel following a day in the office. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, I was surprised to not be in the hotel building, however I was over the other side of the road (#1). Taking the keys I arrived at the roor, simple swipe and in. The lift was relatively close and I progressed to floor 3 and my room, When booking I had assumed that my room was going to be spacious, clearly I misunderstood the details. As you enter there is a kind of entrance space and a door to the bedroom, once in the bedroom area, there is a limited amount of space. The bed is almost up against the wall, just enough room to draw and close the curtains. The Bathroom was OK, but again, lacking in space, there was too much space in front of the wardrobe, which could have been utilised, but wasnt. Overall the room was OK, but wont be rushing back. additionally the fridge in the room was too close to the bed, the constant humm of it working was at times distracting when trying to sleep

never again room 001. The check in took ages. very long time. The room was very very small. Recomend if traveling on business to avoid the small rooms don stairs on the ground floor (rooms 001 to 003).
