Good Hotel.
Nice hotel, but not really boutique 😄 Location is good, 15 minutes walk to underground and 10 to overground. Good bus service on main road taking you to Liverpool Street. Getting access to room was different, you have to go to Thai Restaurant, where you are given codes to enter the hotel area. Staff took me to the room, which was good but no reception. Room was good, what I would expect for budget hotel.. if you're expecting boutique, you'll be disappointed. Room size was very good, facing street but not to noisy. Mattress on bed was not good, one side was fine but one side had clearly been overused. Ensuite was good with nice shower. Would recommend and stay again.

The one slight downside was the comms surrounding the entry because it wasn’t clear that you had to go into the restaurant around the corner for access at first and I didn’t receive an email as was stated in the check in instructions. As for the room itself, no complaints. For the price we weren’t expecting the Earth but the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom facilities were decent. There was the green security light as I’d seen in a couple of other review but it didn’t bother us. All in all not a bad little stay at all.

Basic but fine
Very basic hotel. We only needed a bed for the night after a gig. Staff were friendly. Was confusing to get to, was supposed to get an email explaining to go into a thai resturant which i did not. A lot of different codes for different doors, which we had a take a photo of on someones phone. The room itself was very basic. Tea and a kettle was provided, but no coffee. Only one hand and bath towel for a double room. The tv was a smart tv which was nice but unfortunately there was no remote so was unable to use. Not the cleanest room but not the worst. Skirting boards were dusty, splashes of paint of ths wooden floors, plus socket was wonkey and the extractor fan in the bathroom was hanging off. There was an actual bottle of shampoo which was quite nice. Bed was comfy enough, walls were thin but actually wasnt too loud at all throughout the night. As a whole it feels like the hotel wants to be this very "boutiquey" hotel with colourful wallpaper and cushioned headboards and its not quite worked. For the money, and fact we only needed a bed for the night it was fine. But i dont think we'd go back

You get what you pay
You get what you pay. The shower would give you either boiling hot or cold water. The room couldn’t be more basic. But you can’t find anything in London for £100, so as budget friendly is an option. Just don’t expect much comfort

Honestly, this place is not a hotel. It's a hostel or B&B without the breakfast. From the lack of reception (admittedly highlighted in an email, but not noted anywhere by the side street entrance) to the dodgy decor, broken bannisters, odd smells, scuffed divans, limescale covered shower and taps, and general poor standards of everything, I'm embarrassed i booked this place for an overnight stay with my son whilst seeing a gig. Avoid at all costs. Complete amateur hour.

good location
The place is in a good location the bed is comfy - was a strange green light at night in the room and there are three key locks to get in but it is a decent price for london in a nice location.

2/10 Poor

Paper thin walls
Unbelievably noisy family in the room next door and the walls were so thin that it sounded like they were in the same room as me. Green Emergency light in the room so bright that with all the lights off you could still read a book. 2 nights with very little sleep. Never again.

If you're reading the reviews to see wheter or not you should book this place, you are either 1. On a tight budget, or 2. You waited till the last minute. Either way book it, it's exactly what you need.

I really enjoyed the overall room and it worked well. The owner themselves were very forthcoming in making sure I was okay and everything was to my liking. I would recommend staying here. Especially for the price.

Adequate
The hotel is a self check in set up which in its self is fine. To find the entrance is very difficult and once you do it feels very sketchy. I never like to give a negative review when someone is trying to run a business, I booked it as funds were limited but needed to be in London for the night. The price of hotels in London like everything else has shot up. Shut eyes was considerably cheaper so I suppose you get what you pay for. The room was not dirty but had an unusual odour, I didn’t want to spend to much time there. It was a adequate for a quick stay, however I wouldn’t stay again.

On the plus side the accomodation is central (Shoreditch area) & a double room was substantially cheaper than other central hotels. Approx 160 GBP on 1 July. To get a room room at this price you'd need to go to outskirts Bedding and tiled floors were clean. Prospective customers should be aware this is not a hotel. Rooms are in the 3rd floor attic above a restaurant. If you have accessibilty needs, there are 6 flights of stairs to the rooms. There is no reception. You go into the restaurant & are escorted to a covered alley accessed via digital lock. The room itself is accessed using an electronic touch screen digital lock, bit fiddly. There is no key. Staff were friendly & welcoming as far as it goes. They will ask you to photograph the codes on your smart phone. There will be no one there to assist after the restaurant closes. We did wonder if any punters might start arriving in the small hours (thin stud walls only). But it was quiet in the street & in accomodation despite being a Saturday night. The shower room had no curtain & with light on your top half will be visible to windows opposite, although they are a distance away. The shower tray was completely smooth with no mat & very slippery. I was crashing there with my son after a gig so these were minor to us, but might concern some customers. My biggest gripe was the tap on the bathroom sink of an unusual glass slotted design. Visibly very dirty on the inside. If website allows I will post a photo.
