Nice and quiet location despite it being not too far from roads and the daily walk to Calton Hill around the corner was lovely. Great location to be able to walk to the likes of the Royal Mile, Holyroodhouse, Arthurs Seat etc. The room was very nice, clean and large enough, especially as a solo traveller. The bathroom was quite small and a squeeze, but it was substantial. The daily room service was nice to come back to and having tea facilities was nice to have in the evenings. The issue I had, was having the window open as they are old latch windows to slide up and so I had to prop it open as the room could get rather warm. The breakfast was substantial and it catered for different tastes and it was clean and spacious breakfast room.
