Excellent as usual
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here, but I keep coming back.
The staff are always friendly and helpful, the scenery around the Clarendon is stunning, and the rooms feel like a home away from home.
Some people maybe put off due to the Clarendon not being in central London, but I found it a respite from the hustle and bustle, and a great place to relax in between the amazing shows we saw (Titanique, the Tina Turner musical and Robin Hood panto).
We’ll definitely be coming again!

Excellent breakfast service.
One night b&b stay Xmas day to Boxing day. Excellent breakfast with immediate and attentive service, despite large numbers of customers. Quality of service exceptional.
Bedroom clean comfortable and serviceable. Quiet room at back of Hotel. Plumbing a bit out of date, bath with overhead shower only.

A wonderful hotel.
Always a pleasure to stay here. My go to hotel when staying in London. I was disappointed to hear rumours locally that the hotel was going to be turned into a care home for the elderly, please don’t let this be true, it will ruin my future London trips.

Great stay at The Clarendon
Just home from an overnight stay at The Clarendon celebrating my husband's birthday. It is in a great location just a stroll to the station and lots of bus routes outside plus the village is very festive this time of year for a stroll and only a ten minute walk across the heath to Greenwich Park, where we had lunch overlooking the Thames. Back to the hotel for the evening meal which was served in the bar area as the restaurant was booked for a private party. Dinner and breakfast the following day were very good, our room was good with views across the heath and all of the staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Yes the hotel is old with very creaky stairs but this all adds to the charm. Hopefully we will visit again soon.

3rd time
I have stayed here 3 times. Its a bit out of town but a lovely hotel. Easy access to railway.
Beds and pillows are comfortable. Clean rooms with nice bathrooms. Breakfast is great. Restaurant looks into garden.
Jazz group was excellent. Bar is very nice. I enjoyed playing pool with a friend.

Girls trip
Always stay at the Clarendon when going to the O2. Comfy beds, great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Location is handy for the O2 or travelling into central London. Even have a quad room. Great for girly weekends

Poor
Room very very tired. Worn carpet in patches, old furniture, bath cracked and yellow stained. No blackout curtains or blinds so light from street and christmas lights kept the room permanently light during the night. The curtains did not fit the windows. Old windows so the noise from the street was awful and kept me awake all night. The peep hole in door had no cover so wasnt very secure. Hair on the bed sheets. Staff were not rude but not very welcoming either. All in all very disappointing. Blackheath is crying out for a decent good hotel and this sadly is not it.
