Would consider staying elsewhere
It’s a motel, pics are a bit deceiving. But my one bedroom was huge. I liked the decor. I liked having a full kitchen with table and a separate full sized living room. It was pretty dated. The bathroom was still in 70s tile. It wasn’t in sparkling condition but it was fine for what I needed. It was clean but it was a little “cheap,” but like I said, it’s a motel. Seemed like every guest was smoking on their balconies (that are all connected). Pool and chairs were dated.
My biggest problem - I needed to extend my stay. Very clearly were there other rooms not being used, but the manager said he had someone coming into my room that next day. The only other room “available” was an upgraded room from what I had. In order to stay in my room, the manager made me pay the upgrade fee so the other guest could go into the upgraded room. Again, clearly there were other rooms available. It was shady and I didn’t appreciate it but he wasn’t the type to provide exceptional customer service. I was in a bind so I just paid it. Felt like a shake down.
