"This is a great option for people looking to keep their hotel costs down on a trip to Capetown. It's located in the heart of the business district, so it's great for groups or people traveling for business. Not an ideal location for solo or small group female travelers. The beds are comfortable and thr breakfast is lovely. It's not a luxury hotel, but the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I even had a medical emergency during my stay, and they were very quick to help me through it.
I was disappointed by the customer service in the states. I'm not sure if there's a communication disconnect between them and this branch, but I had called before I left to schedule my transportation from and back to the airport (this is very important on your trip to Capetown- even in a group, I would be wary of public transportation, including taxis and ubers for safety reasons. This was confirmed by all of my guides whilst in the country). The rep in the states told me this branch didn't offer a shuttle, but they do. By the time I learned that upon arrival, I had already spent $90 booking a private car. Call this branch directly, instead of going through the customer service reps in the states.
Overall, I had a good experience. I would encourage people to consider where their money is best spent. If you want luxury on the beach, don't book this hotel. If you want function with a good breakfast and a helpful staff, this hotel would be a good choice for you."
