Book direct to get your room choice guaranteed
The assignment of my room was questionable. I booked a Luxury room, not the Double room to make sure I was not in the attic rooms with the reduced head clearance. At check-in, the hotel staff assured me that the attic room I was assigned was the Luxury room. When I pointed out the identical rooms on their website and the Hotels.com website identifying the attic rooms as doubles, they informed me that I would have needed to book the room directly to assure I was in the high-ceiling clearance rooms on the lower floors. Overall the hotel property was very nice and we had both Lunch and Dinner on site and enjoyed the experience. The room assignment really irritated me to watch the low ceiling during my stay, and the way the reception handled the issue was dismissive. This was ow season stay and I expect that if they tried to make the situation right, they certainly could have. I feel like I paid for a higher-rate room and was "brushed off" when I tried to address the concern.
