Melbourne and related destinations
Beneath Victorian-era arcades, hidden laneways reveal street art masterpieces and tiny cafés where baristas discuss coffee like sommeliers talk wine. The Queen Victoria Market buzzes with vendors selling everything from kangaroo jerky to vintage vinyl. At Federation Square, the angular architecture houses galleries displaying Aboriginal art beside the serene Yarra River. Cricket fans make pilgrimages to the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground, while theater-goers flock to shows in the East End. SEA LIFE Melbourne's underwater tunnels bring you face-to-fin with sharks, and Crown Casino's riverside complex dazzles with restaurants rather than gaming tables. For sunset views, the Eureka Skydeck offers a perfect perch above this city of contrasts.

The Langham, Melbourne
"The staff are very friendly and were genuine about making sure that we had a great stay."
1 Hotel Melbourne
"One of the best hotels I've stayed at"
Hyatt Centric Melbourne
"Property was clean, staff were very polite and helpful. Property is aging though, chips to paint and corners, tiling grout discoloured. Gym was probably one of better hotel gyms I’ve seen and used. Would stay again for the price"

"Room was clean and very comfortable, with a stunning view. Staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to attend to every request. 10/10"
Atlantis Hotel, Melbourne
"The staff were excellent, both upon check-in and checking out. No issues with storing luggage. The room was a tad dated. No reading lamps next to the bed as pictured, toilet roll holder fell onto the floor and also located at an angle you couldn't reach it. While the room had a window, it does not open so air conditioning is the only option. Gym amenities were excellent. Good treadmills, elipticals, bicycles and weights. The location is what sells this place, right opposite the station."
Great Southern Hotel Melbourne
"Great service, helpful staff member at reception. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Thank you"
The Victoria Hotel Melbourne
"Staffs were friendly & helpful. The price was very reasonable for the quality. The best part was the buffet breakfast."
Pegasus Apart'Hotel
"If car parking is essential, this hotel is the only one you want to stay. Forget the rest in Melbourne CBD. For those parking is not essential, I would suggest look for others especially for ladies. I don’t understand why there is no power point next to mirror for hair dryer or straightener. When there is only one mirror in the room. “If this is not important to you, this hotel is good”"

Melbourne boasts an impressive array of attractions, including stunning architecture, vibrant shopping districts, and exceptional dining options, as well as renowned museums and sports venues. Taking advantage of this budget-friendly period may provide great value for money while immersing oneself in the city's unique urban charm.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Melbourne, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. This way, you'll be updated on the price and availability of your preferred hotels. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to seize the best last-minute opportunities for your getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the season, so having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a more favourable rate for your stay in a Melbourne hotel. For those seeking something a bit different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and may also offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more appealing option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Melbourne's superb public transport network, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that still offers good connectivity. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
