Southampton is a lovely town. Frequent transport that is value for money if you dont want to drive in. You see the cruise ships if they are docked on a Saturday ready to leave Sunday. Lots of shops and places to eat. Everyone was friendly.

Lots of historical icons in the city dated back to the medieval age. All of them are well maintained with detailed explanations around. Lots of restaurants and bars on the high street.

A few street people and beggars, but they are passive and I never saw anyone aggressive. Streets are clean, people are either friendly or keep to themselves, and remember to walk on the left side or you'll likely be walking upstream.

"Check in and checking out went very smoothly. Kind and courteous staff. Very informative with questions asked. Restaurant on site offered a variety of delicious choices. Great restaurant service. The hotel setting was very charming and peaceful. Family was able to get a quality sleep after an exhausting day of travel. "
"Staff has been great, just seems like they could use more of them. Room was jice but desperately lacked in power outlets. A great place to stay before boarding a cruise ship. "
"We had a problem our first night with the shower. The staff were so friendly, helpful and apologetic. Unfortunately they couldn’t fix it and they didn’t have the same or similar room available to move to that would have enough space for all of us…so they put aside a room just two doors down for us to use for showers. Not ideal but they were so accommodating that it really was no issue!
Would definitely recommend to stay here if you will be in Southampton for a few nights. Staff is excellent, especially Reece and the area is so walkable it was great! "
"It was clean, staff was very helpful and answered our questions as far as how to get around to London. They also kept our luggage at their office until we got a room. They also let us into our room ahead of scheduled which was nice after our disembarkation from a long cruise. Breakfast was really good as well. Highly recommended it!"
"Beautiful harbour-side hotel with lovely views. Excellent spa.
My only niggle is that the architect over-complicated the lighting system. Our room had 9 light switches (excluding the one for the bathroom) and it was impossible for us to turn off the dimmed light in the entrance hall area - no matter what switch combo we tried. My son and his gf had the same issue in their room. "
