    Awful stay

    First of all check in was terrible my partner arrived to be told the room wasn’t prepaid which it definitely was. The bathroom was very old and tired the bath was all worn and looked very unsightly so much so I didn’t want to shower or bath in it. The bathroom ceiling was mouldy and so was the shower curtain! Breakfast was a disaster all tables full of empty plates no clean cups available for coffee or tea. Not enough staff one other guest even said good luck as we walked into the breakfast area! If this wasn’t bad enough we were staying as a treat on our wedding night and the groom stayed the night before, wish we would have stayed at home! Will be contacting customer services for a refund.

    overall shabby not what was expected expected

    long wait in reception pool not open bathroom in a state bedroom tidy but bed zip and link cover just thrown on booked executive room…food (ping meals) inedible sent back. overall. shabby worst stay we’ve ever had …..would not recommend to anyone, will never return!!!!

    Do not stay here…ever!

    Do not stay here. They oversell the rooms. Got there at 7:30pm and there were no available rooms? Housekeeping were still cleaning rooms for lots of us. It was 9:30pm before rooms were ready. Lots of families with children waiting for rooms as well. Rooms are very old. Carpets in corridors are filthy. One person found Dog Poo in the corridors, breakfast is truly appalling. It used to be a decent hotel when the Marriott group owned it but now that Britannia group own it it is awful.

    Disappointing stay

    On arrival, we had to wait for over half an hour until we were checked in, as there was nobody at reception, and there was a queue of guests. We were given 2 rooms, but no stepfree access. The first room: both disposable cups had coffee stains, bathroom smelt terribly mouldy. The second room, there was no standard socket next to bedside, so my father-in-law couldn't use his breathing assist machine. Twice he went to the reception to ask for a socket, and waited 2 hours, but no one brought it over. In the leisure centre, steam room was out of use, sauna room didnt have lights, and jaccuzi was unavailable because of out of order. The bed was comfortable but the overall experience was terrible. Nothing elite about this hotel.

    Superb customer service and luxury stay RUBBISH!!

    We arrived at 10:30pm to a reception full of people. We had to wait 3 HOURS to check in, some people up to 6 to 7 hours! Initially there was a staff member on dealing with customers but about half an hour in she shouted out‘I’m starving!’ Left and never came back! It turns out that as customers checked in reception would go and clean a room and then check in the next! Eventually a young fellow came in but had no power to offer anything more than a mumbled apology! Got into our room at 1:30am, the oldest and most decrepit Travelodge would look luxurious compared to this very basic looking room. And no hot water in the morning for showers!

    Worst Hotel Stay

    The worst hotel experience we’ve had for a very long time! The hotel was grubby, service poor; room not available until after 8pm! Said room tatty; bed broken; bath enamel badly damaged, torn towels, dirty linen. The breakfast was diabolical; out of date cereal boxes, no tea/coffee due to lack of cups. No bread as they ran out! Hot food not possible due to the greed of other guests, very little available and everything mixed up; totally unpalatable snd a health risk, hence avoided. Poor hygiene standards throughout. Staff unable to cope with guests that were not following guidelines and had outwardly almost ‘given up’ Diabolical! Never, ever stay here!

    Not run by Marriott

    Check in was chaotic people queuing out of the hotel entrance one poor girl on reception Rooms were unavailable at 1600 we had to wait until 1730for a disability room and 1830 for a normal room There was no food available until 1700 the kitchen refused to make us sandwiches The rooms needed a good clean
