The room we were given had a horrible odor of possibly curry. The hotel is super old and the bathroom grout is dirty, with moldy corners on the floor by the tub, the sofa bed was dirty and old, we had it reserved for 5 people and there were only 2 towels in the room. I had to call reception 3 times, first because the keys to the room would not work, and we were arriving exhausted and cold after had spent all day at Sea World and getting wet in rides, so the keys not working was a huge inconvenience. Someone came up with another key. The moment we walked into the room the strong odor hit us and I called reception asking for a different room. We were told they were fully booked. Then a couple of the kids got in the shower and we noticed there were not enough towels, so I called reception again and they told me to go down to pick them up (again,we were exhausted and cold so I asked if they could bring it into our room, but she said NO, I'm alone here). So I got really upset and told her we were completeley dissatisfied and I asked if they had a sister company hotel to send us to. The lady said there was a Holiday Inn across the street, but not a suster company. I complained again and she said, go to a different hotel and I will give you a full refund, and she hung up on me! We packed our stuff back up, checked out, and left. We are SO HAPPY WE LEFT because for $10 more we spent the night at Holiday Inn Express which was extremely clean, comfortable and with excellent breakfast!
