8/10 Very good

Rooms fairly basic but very clean with plenty of hot water for the shower. Helpful staff and very central.

6/10 Good

Central location and room had everything needed... en-suite, good shower and tea/coffee making facilities. However, tea/coffee not topped up and no-one on the premises to ask. We had no sleep as the theatre was next door and the stage crew were dismantling and loading lorries from 11pm until 6.30am!! No privacy in the room if cirtains were opened and neighbours were able to look directly into the shower... we hung a towel over the glass for privacy!

Man on reception was friendly. Unfortunately my room wasn't what I booked (I was supposed to have a double bed, not two singles). Room was dirty as well with stains on the walls. Incredibly noisy from before 5am as well.

Really good location near to railway station and round the corner from bus station…..a five minute walk brings you to city centre.felt comfortable and safe for a solo traveller.

Property was central for walking to everything. Pub oppposite caused noise late at night AND we had lorries loading stage equipment from nearby theatre for 2 hours until 12.30am. This happens many times a week the roadies told us. The walls were paper thin & the windows single glazed so not only outside noise kept us awake but other guests talking & tv on until 4am! The price we were charged £330 for 2 nights, was not warranted.

Ali Inn in Oxford

Room was clean and comfortable. Typical 3-star accommodation, and Abdul, the manager, was a helpful and courteous host. Best part was that Ali Inn is in the heart of Oxford, close to bars, restaurants and all attractions. Highly recommended for value-for-money and convenience.

Good Location

The receptionist was nice and the location is very good but the wifi did not work. The main issue was that my room and the bathroom were not very clean. The bathroom also had a strong odour so I needed to keep the bathroom door closed as it made me feel sick.
Claudia, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Be wary - use as last resort.

Got bite marks all over me, bed felt like cardboard and used towels still hung on the back of my door when I entered the room.

2/10 Poor

Massive building works around property at the moment. Room cleanliness way below par - mold and dirty shower. Carpet poorly vacuumed and sheet stains. Towels old and ragged. Very budget hostel like accommodation for not hostel prices

6/10 Good

Chosen purely on price and location namely cheap and central. City centre so expect it to be noisy at night. Currently building work going on opposite so noisy early morning. Keys collected from polite person at desk on arrival. No one there in morning but not an issue. Narrow staircase if u have heavy luggage. Room clean. Kettle, Hair dryer, iron. Bedding clean. Bathroom clean. Mould around shower but not a game changer. Fire extinguishers in hallways. No fire exit found other than main staircase. Cheap, City centre location, city centre noise, Room clean. Fulfilled our brief cheap and central.

Truly awful hotel!

We arrived late so had clear instructions how to open key box which was fine. As soon as you step in and make your way to your room you are greeted by a plumber in limescale ridden sink which probably belongs to the room on the ground floor. The stairs really needed some TLC, marks all up the walls with dirty carpet. When we reached our room and went in, there was so many different patches on the wall from plaster falling off it was horrible. 4 raw plugs in the wall whilst the mirror was just leant against the wall. TV hanging with a broken aieral. After seeing the sink downstairs I guessed what the bathroom would be like and I was correct, limescale all around the plug and mould in the shower. Shower head fitting was broken so I couldn’t adjust the height, drainage not the best as it slowly filled up mid shower. Wet mud splash marks up the back off the door. Also the windows were single glazed so we was awoken by someone throwing up at 3am and then road works beginning at 8. I would’ve thought on the 3rd floor you shouldn’t be hearing these things. Silver lining was we only had 1 night here, went to the George Oxford hotel after. Was 10 times better!

8/10 Very good

We had difficulty getting in. The phone number in the door did not work with my international phone so we had to find a local restaurant to allow us to use a phone. The Inn’s representative tried to first tell us to go to another place but then eventually gave us the code for the lockbox which went fine. Then I reached out to them to see if we could leave our luggage post check out for a couple hours to take a walking tour, but I never got a response and there did not seem to be any place to leave our luggage safely. They need more reception support

2/10 Poor

We stayed in room 4 at Ali Inn and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. My wife woke up with multiple bites on her back and arm, consistent with bedbug bites. When we inspected the bed, we found several insects among the sheets. We placed the insects in a plastic bag as evidence and went to reception in the morning to report the issue, but there was no one available at the time. We also took photos of both the bites and the insects. This kind of situation is unacceptable, as it presents a serious health and hygiene concern. We expected better care and responsibility from the hotel.

The room was nice and clean. Super nice area to be in Oxford super convenient! But there was this intense and strange smell as soon as one enters the reception. The downstairs smelled bad. But the room did not have any of the smell and was fine.

DO NOT STAY HERE

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES The bed had bed bugs and I was woken at midnight covered in bed bugs and bed bug bites. The bathroom, shower head and ceiling was grimey and overall dirty. The noise outside was very loud and I got very little sleep due to general noise and delivery drivers banging and talking. The manager was extremely rude when I spoke to him and was SHOUTING at me down the phone when I was discussing the bed bug issue. He point blank refused to give a refund for the stay. A terrible terrible business and management. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Noisy street but good room

Room was comfortable and both room and en-suite were clean, and the stay was very good value for money. However, my room faced the street and even with the window closed I was disrupted several times during the night from noises outside (e.g. waste collection) so if anyone is a light sleeper I would suggest requesting a room not facing the street! Obviously the hotel itself is limited in their ability to rectify this.

Terrible!
Nick, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Shower broken, kettle filthy , one chipped saucer one missing altogether. Lampshade missing just a bulb hanging down. Quilt ripped, general decore poor and needs refreshing, and an iron burn in the mingle of the carpet Really not acceptable for £175 a night
Neil, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Rooms were cute. Stairs to room were narrow & was glad we were on the first floor. TV had poor picture quality. Could hear people talking outside on the street.
Ira, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Everything in the room was clean, and based on other reviews as I expected. The front is a little hard to find in the dark though. The location is excellent for the centre of town and lots of food and transport options right outside. I didn't actually see anyone who worked there the whole time, so this is not a place to stay if you need assistance. The room was noisy from outside, but earplugs sorted this out.
