Excellent choice

Wonderful stay, highly recommend. Great, quiet location, with reasonable walk to castle etc. I wasn't a fan of the (slightly tired) mattress but my wife was comfortable.

Convenient from the airport tram at the west end stop. Waited for us after hours...much appreciated! Beautiful property & welcome to Scotland on our first night after a very long flight!

I liked that it felt like little apartments. The bathroom was perfect with a large tub and a rainfall shower. The room was very clean and we had a beautiful view of the city. We will be back.

My first choice hotel from now on in Edinburgh

We loved everything about the hotel. Raul and other receptionist (she was German) gave us a warm welcome. The room was massive with fantastic views. Clean, comfortable, separate shower and bath. Public areas comfortable with books and games. Neighbourhood is beautiful.

A-amazing!

We were on the 3rd flooor with a bay window view of the city below us. It was breathtaking. The room itself was expansive with two sitting areas and a large bathroom with more windows, a separate deep tub which felt great after walking all day and a flight, and a shower. If you appreciate great millwork, then you’ll also appreciate this hotel. Sandy, the receptionist, was especially welcoming and helpful. Overall it’s a quiet, luxurious retreat.
Jana, 1-night trip

Wonderful property.

Fantastic gem on a quintessential Edinburgh crescent. So quiet and the bed was incredibly comfortable, so much so that we slept in! Great facilities, including a microwave and coffee maker in our room. The breakfast bakery items to order were delicious and affordable. Our one criticism, the cold water pressure was dreadful. As a result, the rainfall shower didn’t work properly but that wouldn’t stop us returning.
Our stunning bedroom.
Victoria, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel is tired and unloved. But the rooms are spacious. Way overpriced
Desmond, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We spent two stays here, one night followed by three nights after driving around Scotland for a few days. The location is perfect, an easy walk from the Edinburgh Castle. We did not need a car for any of the major attractions in Edinburgh proper, but we really “got our steps in.” The rooms are extremely spacious, especially the two-room suites. The staff accommodated our needs perfectly, and are knowledgeable about the surrounding shopping and dining options. All in all a 5 rating.
Steven, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

2 issues that prevented me from rating a perfect. First the mattress was horrible, you can feel the internal springs as you lay in the bed. The mattress desperately needs replacement. If my stay was longer i would have checked out because of it. Second the pull cords for the blinds EASILY comes apart when you pull making raising and lowering the blinds frustrating. The property is aware of this inconvenience so it should be addressed. The property is excellent and room was amazing, if the matress issue is resolved I will be back in a heartbeat.

We had such a lovely stay here! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We visited over the Easter weekend, so the rates were a bit higher, but it was totally worth it. They even left a chocolate egg and a sweet card for the kids — such a thoughtful touch! The hotel has its own parking area, which felt very secure. It’s £15 per night, but we were happy to pay for the peace of mind. Everything about our stay was great, and I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in Edinburgh.
