Nice pool and very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are poorly maintained, our bathroom was every day out of service and needed to be reported to staff constantly. Lot of mosquitos in the room.

We asked 3 times to have the safe in our room made operational, but that never happened. The blind was broken and wasn’t fixed. They charge oldie drinking water. They are also quite uncomfortable with LGBT couples. Lovely as the pool is, I wouldn’t recommend this to any of my friends.

The location is perfect directly accords from the park. The resort grounds are beautiful. You definitely need to bring a rental car to explore all of the near by Cenotes and Mayan ruins. I would stay again.

We only stayed 1 night to visit Uxmal. We actually stayed at the main lodge, because of Covid the other buildings are shut down. Property and rooms were beautiful, staff was very friendly. Food and drink at the restaurant were good as well.

We loved the setting, the birds all around, the history of the hacienda, and the kind and friendly staff. It was a perfect night there, and we wished we'd had more.

Our second visit to this hotel was as good as the first. The pool area is wonderful for relaxing after busy days at the ruins. The rooms are comfortable and the outside rocking chairs are a lovely touch. We also love the history of the property and everyone who works there is very kind to us.

We were upgraded to the beautiful Hacienda at Uxmal next door to this property by Nicholas, the wonderful public relations person who greeted us with chilled towels and a cold drink. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute!

We were upgraded to the main lodge located across the street at the base of the Uxmal ruins due to renovations and what a stroke of luck that was! This place is breathtaking as your surrounded by jungle, but your in a 5 star resort. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience
What an experience. I can't recommend this place and the people that work there enough. Not only were we upgraded to the hotel next to the Casa, but Nicolas from the hotel team went an extra mile to ensure we have only the best memories: we forgot our favorite sweaters in the dinning area and realized it only at the Merida airport day later... Nicolas was able to find them, quickly confirmed that and went out of his way to find a way to get them to us in California. And he succeeded. Christmas came early this year, thank you! :)

We booked at La Casa del Mago but when we got there they told us that we were going to stay at the next door Hacienda Uxmal, because of some problems they recently had at the first hotel. Apparently the hotels are connected. So the beginning was a bit awkward but then we immediately started to enjoy the place. Immersed in nature, accompanied by the singing of lots of birds we enjoyed the pool and the atmosphere. The restaurant service was not so bright but very friendly and with good will. The rooms are very well equipped to repel all the night butterflies/bugs from entering the room. I would recommend the stay here.
