Nice personnel allowed me an early check in. The hotel is very close to the bus terminal Costa Line as well as city center. Upon reservation there was indication that breakfast was included but that was not the case. They only have breakfast certain days.

Good place to stay
Nice place, good location and friendly staff. It is noisy, from the street and inside as the sound travels easily. Bathroom is very small.

Great small hotel
Very comfortable small hotel...3 rooms. Someone was at the desk at all times contrary to suggestions otherwise from Hotels.com. Pleasant staff and helpful for sight seeing. Modern rooms and furnishings...comfortable beds. Some noise on streets but this is Taxco so expect some traffic noise but not during the night! Free coffee and some pastries offered.....small supplies you cab purchase. A 10 minute walk to zocalo...all the action is there in town. Good wifi

No breakfast at the hotel.
According to our reservation, we were to have breakfast included, but the hotel did not provide breakfast. Also, the pillow cleanliness was a little ifffy. And when we tried to get our car, the garage was not open.

Be ready to walk cobblestone hilly streets.
Our room was the one with the great view. I wouldn't stay again unless I could have that room. The pillows were very flat and hard. Other than that, it was comfortable and very clean. Staff people were warm and friendly.

Going Back to La Casa Del Laurel
Our hosts did a wonderful job making us feel welcome. This small hotel is very well located to the town square. It was about 1 hilly block away. Within this town of steep hills the location was perfect. They served a continental breakfast over the weekend, and would have been nice to have that every day, as anywhere you go in Taxco is a hike. The shower was unexpectedly large, having been refurbished, and the rooms bigger than more expensive hotels in the immediate area, (we checked). We really felt comfortable and the price was great!

Great location and excellent service!
This hotel is perfectly located just 5 minutes (walking) from downtown, very nice and comfortable room, spacious bathroom, good internet and front desk staff very kind and available to help and provide good service at any moment. Complimentary breakfast was very good, as well as the coffee-fruit-bread station located at the lobby. The hotel does not have any restaurant, however there are several options near the hotel and at downtown. We spent 3 days-2 nights there and would come back without doubt. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice but a bit noisy
Hotel was really quaint and has been upgraded with up do date amenities. Our first night was good but the second night there were guests that dropped something in the hall and it was quite noisy. We then heard a lot of talking and they weren't being loud it is just that the doors ate not soundproof. The continental breakfast is instant coffee, orange juice from a box, fruit loops or white toast or a bun and an apple. Not much effort put into the breakfast. The town is very special.

Dont stay on the second floor
The stay was ok..the facilities are great however they put me in a room on the side of a very busy hill. The room was on the second floor however since it was on a hill, it was on the street level. I heard every delivery and conversation from 5 am until 10 am

Lovely Hotel
This is my second time staying at the Casa del Laurel. When I planned my return trip to Taxco, I thought "why bother looking at any other place?" Front desk reception was very friendly and helpful (the last trip in 2014 one guy was kinda cranky....). Hot water for tea and instant coffee was always available. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, at check in we were given the choice of a King bed or two doubles, and this trip we selected the two doubles. Beds were very comfortable, and linens and pillows were very good. Bathroom was great and there was lots of hot water always. Windows open (I love fresh air) but can close tightly to block almost all street noise, and are secure and safe. Beautiful view from the rooftop. I love this location. Only a short walk to the centre square or a short downhill to one of the bus stations. As streets can be steep in Taxco, there are plenty of VW taxis circling around and it is very inexpensive to take trips in them if you don't want to do the climbs yourself. Taxco is quite magical at night. Thanks Casa del Laurel, I hope to visit you again.

Excellent hotel close to city center
I was there 3 days. Fell in love with this city. I think this is one of the most romantic places in Mexico. The hotel is very beautiful and cozy.
