Lovely hotel
We had a great 3 day visit, Staff were fantastic, polite friendly and very helpful. Restaurant food was amazing only downside was the toaster was so slow as it was a backup toaster, would of been better getting a cheap supermarket one but overall a fantastic stay.

4/10 Fair

Eh. Not great.
I chose this place and paid £220 for a room here whilst attending eden sessions in part because I wanted to ensure I had access to a really good bath due to my disability… well the seal on the plug had gone so the bath wouldn’t fill up past a third of the tub, I had the tap going for 20 minutes before I gave up. When i turn of the tap I noticed the water was very very very slowly but surely draining it’s contents despite the plug definitely being secured closed. When I told front desk about this issue they didn’t apologise, or offer any compensation they just seemed unsurprised and said “oh really? Ok.” Then seemed to think i didn’t know how to work a bath plug. On top of this, I’m quite obviously disabled, i walk with a rollator and when checking in i was directed to a room via the staircase (there were two staircases to the room after taking the lift to the correct floor). When checking out and asking about taxis I was advised instead to walk to the bus station because it was “only” 15 minutes away (maybe good advice for able bodied guests but…. Read the room guys.) On top of the that the wallpaper was quite stained, and the bed backed up on to the light switch so it kept pushing the light on and off through the night.
As far as the water would fill up when the plug was secured shut
Stained walls
Light switch behind bed
Stained walls again

6/10 Good

Wedding night stay.
Firstly, parking the car… car park 1 is awful. It was full of a dirty sand/cement substance and pot holes to drive/walk through. The drop off spaces were full, so walking through this with wedding shoes and luggage was not a great start. The room itself was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Overall it was clean, but corners in the bathroom had been forgotten. There were also huge cobwebs entwined in the lights above reception, which weren’t noticeable from reception, but once you walked up the stairs they were really noticeable from the balcony. We were really grateful the hotel left a card and a bottle of fizzy wine in celebration of our marriage, but we were disappointed by the way we were talked down to in the bar. My husband only wanted a sandwich for dinner because we’d had a huge wedding lunch, so we asked if he could have a sandwich from the room service menu as there was no sandwich option on the bar/restaurant menu. There seemed to be some confusion at this simple request, and we were told by the lady behind the bar …loudly in front of everyone…that the chef had agreed to do this “just this once as they were quiet that evening” We were still charged the room service charge for eating in the bar, so this confused us a little because he would have had to make it anyway if we’d called down for room service! The staff at breakfast were lovely and really attentive, however we probably wouldn’t stay again. Sorry.

8/10 Very good

Nice hotel in lovely grounds.
Very nice hotel, the staff helpful and friendly, unfortunately to access the spa there is no way of avoiding steps which was challenging for my disabled mother. The breakfast was rather basic however the afternoon tea and dinner was plentiful and lovely. The twin beds were on the small side as well as very soft and you sink into them! The views amazing and the area beautiful. Overall a good stay in a good location.
