Great Guest House in Cape Town
This was a short visit for a local race. But the guest house is beautiful, with nice high ceilings and a great lounge for just chilling in.

DO NOT GO!!
i booked junior suit for 4 nights and paid for one night in advance but when i contacted the guesthouse for a letter of confirmation that was requred for VISA, owner of the guest house requested for full payment and without it, he would not provide the reservation confirmation letter so i paid full 4 night in advance. upon check in, found no air conditions or exhausts vents in room, old style furniture with rotten wooden smell. had no choice but to stay becoz we paid in advance! upon check out on last day, the owner requested for credit card to make copy of it, and he also made a copy of back side of credit card where CVV no is written so i requested he should not make copy of CVV no. becoz i already paid full amount in advance but he refused to return the copy he made and started yelling at us so we having no choice left with leaving CC CVV no. with him. DO not book unless you want to be in same situation as us!!

Quality Guest House in Tamboerskloo Cape Town
We stayed in one of the Garden suites which was quality, in fact all rooms that I had seen looked very good. Nice lounge and garden to relax, in a very safe area, hope to return on our next visit to the Cape.

Good once you get in.........
We had the unfortunate experience of not being able to raise the staff to open the security gate when we arrived. Despite ringing the buzzer at the gate for 20 minutes and sounded the car horn - which brought everyone out of the flats opposite - we could not get anyone to hear us. Fortunately 2 boys with a mobile phone came down the street and they were able to telephone the hotel and the girl left in charge came to let us in. It transpired that the buzzer had been turned off - despite the fact that we were expected!! It was not a good start to our holiday. The following morning the 2 male owners (who do not llve on site) were very apologetic, but I hope nobody else suffers the same welcome. It does demonstrate that there is safe parking behind the security gate!!
The large room we had was very quiet despite being in a city and the breakfasts were excellent. The location of the hotel is good for walking to several restaurants in the vicinity. The pool, although small was very refreshing and welcome.

Charming and central place to stay
The Guesthouse is very charming and located a 15-minutes walk away from the Company's Gardens and Long Street with all shopping possibilities, museums, etc. The daily view on the Table Mountain is astounding. Didn't have a chance to swim in their swimming pool since the weather was not warm enough but the gardens of the B&B look beautiful also thanks to its presence. The staff is nice and helpful. We had the room next to the garden and it was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the birds nesting in the tree next to our window that woke us up ca 6am. But I would definitely stay in this place if I visited Cape Town again.
