Glide through shimmering canals on a gondola while Renaissance palaces rise from the water like architectural magic tricks. St. Mark's Square buzzes with café life beneath the Byzantine splendour of its basilica. The Grand Canal presents a parade of palazzos best viewed from the Rialto Bridge, where merchants have haggled for centuries. Lose yourself in narrow calli where laundry flutters overhead and tiny bacari serve cicchetti with glasses of local prosecco. The Doge's Palace reveals opulent rooms where Venetian rulers once plotted their maritime empire. Teatro La Fenice offers world-class opera in a setting that has literally risen from the ashes multiple times.

Hotel Rialto
"There's an under used terrace with views of the Rialto, above the crowd. This place is historic. The walls aren't wallpapered, they are covered in fabric. It feels outdated but also nostalgic. Our AC was leaking but they fixed it. Breakfast is nothing special, we preferred to go out to get cicchetti and coffee, but it was convenient on days that we needed to catch up on energy. Location is perfect, so central to everything and you get to enjoy the canal and the bridge without having to go to it."
Hotel Bella Venezia
"The hotel and staff were great. Highly recommended"
Hyatt Centric Murano Venice
"Located about 20 minutes from the Santa Maria train station in Venice this would be a boat ride .to the hotel . You can either take a private water taxi around € 120 or the public water taxi at a fraction of the fare . Get dropped off at the Murano Mueso station and right there is your Hyatt waiting for you ….:) Nice , clean and AIR CONDITIONED ( difficult to find good AC in Italy) . Get breakfast included in your stay as it’s worth it !!"
Unahotels Ala Venezia - Adults Only
"Overall my experience was positive, we opted to pay for breakfast and it was worth it. Room was comfortable and we had a balcony overlooking the canal with gondolas passing by. I liked that the bathroom had a special night light with different colours which was cute and overall bathroom was very clean. They don’t recommend to open windows due to mosquitoes and provided a mosquito plug in repellant which was a nice touch. I gave this hotel 4 out of 5 rating because of one lady at the reception who was quite condescending. One time I wanted to ask a question and she openly rolled her eyes at me because I wanted to ask something. Other time she was making a face at her colleague because my mother was looking for her passport, any time I had anything to ask she made it known with her attitude that she didn’t want to help. I am very polite with everybody and coming from Canada I am simply not used to such uncalled for behaviour. I find that other staff team members were helpful and I got lucky that during my last day that lady was not at the reception."
Palazzo Veneziano
"Clean room, wi-fi was slow at times, breakfast was good. Overall, happy with our stay and this is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. My only complaint are the beds - I think the mattresses in our room need to be replaced."
Hotel Guerrato
"Great location, easy to get to from the airport, clean, comfortable, nice breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff."
Carnival Palace Hotel
"Beautiful Hotel in the Center of the City"
Antico Panada
"Bien ubicado, limpio. Medianamente espacioso."
Hilton Molino Stucky Venice
"It was a wonderful experience, even though my stay was short. Venice is a beautiful city, and this hotel is no exception. It offers all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Venice
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Venice is during January, February, and November when hotel prices are at lower levels. For a great value for money experience, it’s recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days to adequately explore the city’s remarkable landmarks and cultural attractions. During this time, visitors can enjoy the stunning architecture of historic churches, delve into fascinating museums, take romantic boat rides along the canals, and savour coffee in charming cafés, all while soaking in the rich history and art that Venice has to offer.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore potential last-minute deals for hotels in Venice, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to remain informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, ensuring you don't miss any chances to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With these features, you're more likely to be the first to know when prices drop or rooms become available for your Venetian getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay in a Venice hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer improved value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you secure a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, where you can strike a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, as they can provide a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
