Great location, awesome staff, comfortable stay!!
It was a pleasure to stay at Hotel Saba Sultan! The location was great and the staff were excellent!! Everyone was very accommodating and helpful from arranging transfer service from and to the airport, to negotiating tour pricing, or just directional instructions, they were beyond awesome. Prior to my check-in I communicated with the general manger via email and the communication was very responsive. Breakfast was basic, but consistently good. I would recommend this property without reservations. I will be retuning to this property when visiting in the future.

Lovely Hotel, Delicious Breakfast, Payment Issues
We had a great time at the Hotel Saba Sultan. It is in a great location, just a few blocks from the Bosphorous and the Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque (opposite directions). The hotel is small and lovely, room was comfortable and clean. People were all really nice, and the breakfast buffet was AMAZING. We woke up every morning, so excited to go downstairs and fill our bellies with delicious food. Such a selection of items and sweet staff. Taking tea/coffee up to the little rooftop deck to watch ships on the Bosphorous was lovely. My only complaint was that the desk evidently couldn't take any form of payment besides cash. We tried regular credit card -- they said we needed a PIN number -- which we don't have for those cards. We tried our debit/bank card (which has a PIN) and it didn't work. The people in front of us had the same experience on a different day. I'm not sure if this was just a fluke that happened twice or if they are just trying to keep you from paying with a card. I would be fine to pay with cash if I knew that was the only option -- but my husband had to go hunting for an ATM that would give him enough money in one swoop to cover our stay. Other than the card issue (which wasn't a huge deal), we had a really fabulous time kicking off our Turkey trip at the Saba Sultan.
