Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel

Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Very modern and clean facility and close to the Shiomi train station despite the general location being a bit further from tourist spots. The neighborhood is quiet and less dense compared to typical for Tokyo but still within walking distance to a few restaurants and stores. The main negative was that in our first room on a lower floor there were many noisy neighbors from down the hall, across the hall and from upstairs! After changing rooms, it was a lot quieter. The onsen bath was clean and the changing room was well equipped."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tokyo

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly times to visit Tokyo are in January, August, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can discover significant landmarks, museums, and temples, as well as enjoy urban shopping and admire the city's stunning architecture. Additionally, exploring the natural parks and indulging in the local seafood scene will provide a great value for money experience while immersing oneself in the vibrant culture of Tokyo.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Tokyo, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels approaching your travel date. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you’re informed about any opportunities to save. Through Smart Shopping , available on the app, you can compare hotel prices and amenities, allowing you to make informed decisions. This way, you could be the first to know if rooms become available or prices drop, perfect for planning a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a more favourable rate for your stay in a Tokyo hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you make a reservation with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that may offer more affordable options, assisting you in finding a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Tokyo’s excellent public transport links, you might find an independently owned hotel further afield that is more likely to be affordable while still being well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
