Rude racist staff and a hotel fit for an animal!
When we first arrived, we decided to eat a snack in the lobby whilst we waited for check-in. The lobby employee came over, and yelled at us saying that we cannot eat in the lobby, about 5 times in a row, citing that this is not such an establishment, there are restaurants here and you should eat there instead. If you want to eat your food, go outside as no one else wants to see it. No matter how many times we tried to say "understood", he kept repeating, and also he would not make eye contact with me (the person eating), but at my partner (Japanese). He then came back 10 minutes later with a hotel bag to put our food in (which was already put away), as he once again said, to my partner only, that no other customer wants to see this "sight". Good start. Then, the room was terrible. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but it was akin to a 1 star hostel. The duvet wasn't even made (the cover was just left on top). We requested a double, but were given a twin, and so although this was supposed to be a romantic getaway, we ended up sleeping on separate beds in what had to be the ugliest hotel I've ever been in. Never again! For reference, we went to the Hilton in Odaiba for 2 nights afterwards, for roughly the same price for a King bedroom. Absolutely amazing service, and a beautiful hotel. Only 15 mins away from here, so take your service there if you want a comfortable night away!

Excellent service, clean quiet rooms, convenient to Shinagawa train station (across street from hotel) and proximity to eating places. Airport transport bus stops directly at hotel.

    Exceptional 10,0
I traveled there during the Coronavirus outbreak. The hotel was impeccably clean and the staff did a wonderful job at explaingin what is and is not open on theri property to limit exposure. They are very good at communicating any slight changes or repair activities that is occurring on the properties. My only "complaint" is the lack of AC. While they do have central air, they did not have it turned on building-wide. As an east-facing room with large windows (main tower) the room would be 80 degrees by 9 AM and would never really cool down to less than 74 at night. I can understand this decision to keep them off during late winter/early spring, but only if there is some way to let fresh air in. There was not.

Great location. Temperature was hard to control, so they brought us a space heater that worked wonders. There are restaurants and shopping, including 7-11 right on site. Bowling was fun, but pricey. Unfortunately Karaoke was closed while we were there. Overall, pretty nice place. We were in the north tower.

    Good stay at Shinagawa Prince
We had corner room with excellant view . I stayed here couple of times. Regular room is small. Dont recommend staying at East wing. Still room need facelift and night wear given by hotel was quite old, too. Over all, I always felt like staying at one of those bisiness hotel rather known hotel chain. The rooms were clean and all the essentials were there. Hotel stuffs were all well trained. Free wifi and just few minutes walk to Shinagawa station is plus.
