Staff were super friendly! Hot chocolate chip cookies welcome you at check in. Clean lobby & exterior. Rooms are decent, cold fridge & microwave. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast bar in the morning was fresh and enjoyable. Only icks were the housekeeping left a dirty cleaning rag in the bathroom at our first arrival, the hot tub (which is why I chose the hotel) was out of service & we could only get luke warm temp showers in room 203. We really enjoyed the Historic District of Fredericksburg and also Chatham Manor. Nice town.

The hotel served its purpose which was a place to stay the night. The beds were fine, the pillows too flimsy, the bathroom looked overall clean, but rundown. The free breakfast was very limited in options.

BEWARE -- I was DOUBLE CHARGED for the security deposit and neither Hotels.com nor Country Inn & Suites would do anything about it. I was told I have to wait 5-7 business days to get my money back. This is totally unacceptable that I have to wait so long for their error and pretty sketchy behavior from Country Inn & Suites. I will be in the area frequently over the next 4 years and I will NOT BE BACK
