Gem in Cape Town
Couldnt recommend this place highly enough. Great room, amenities, roof top bar. Close to restaurants and bars. Easy access to table mountain etc. Will definitely stay there again when we visit CT

Second time here: first was great, this time :(
Nice location. NIce style. But rooms can be very noisy: either from bar or from road and plumbing. Preferable to stay here out of season when its calmer, less noise, and staff are less stressed. If you happen to have food allergies, be very very careful to check anything you order in the cafe that does breakfasts: mine had an accident which make me sick.

Well located Hotel . Very good amenities and really value for money.

Good, convenient, polite staff, comfortable clean room and beds. Pool could be cleaner, I didn’t see anyone get into the pool in our 5 days there. Breakfast could be better. Omelettes were made like a crepe of fried eggs with toppings inside rather than fused into the eggs. Courteous helpful staff is the #1 reason we would come back to this hotel. #2 would be view from the rooftop bar of tabletop mountain

Great facilities and location
Lovely hotel, really good facilities (jacuzzi, plunge pools, rooftop bar with amazing views of table mountain, easy access parking for additional 100 rand a day). Great location, 6 mins in car to get to Camps Bay Area and 2 mins walk from Kloof Street where there are lots of bars and restaurants ...wanted to stay here longer to make the most of it all! Could have done with slightly better air con in the room (seemed to have a mind of its own) and a plug for shaver/ electric toothbrush.

CPT is seriously regulating water usage
Water scarcity concerns everybody, not only this hotel. Some effort is done, maybe there is now less unnecessary laundry done. The overhead "rain" showers are not the best for saving water and many would anyway prefer a hand held shower for more control. Secondly, what about a nice plastic bucket in the shower cubicle to collect the otherwise lost water, to be used for flushing the toilet?

Uneven experience marred by cockroaches and noise
We booked this hotel based on the area, which was great, good reviews and nice photos, but had an uneven experience once we arrived. The pool is not as nice as it seems and breakfast, while tasty enough, one morning was cold. We had booked a room with a private balcony but found it to have a small patio outside the window, which could only be accessed if we left the room and took an exterior door in the hallway, that anyone could use (there was a note on the door that said it was for our room exclusively but I didn't see how it can be called a private balcony). The first night was freezing and we couldn't get the heating to come on, and the sinks were in the room instead of in the bathroom which wasn't ideal. But it was a double sink which was nice. We stayed in the room until we had three nights in a row where we came back to find a cockroach in the room. After asking to be moved we were given another room where there was no balcony, a single sink in the room, creaky floorboards and a transparent door to the bathroom that woke me up when my boyfriend turned the light on in the night. In the morning the sound of the neighbour walking around his room was so loud that it woke me up in a panic thinking someone was in our room. Finally we were moved to another room that was a little quieter, had a double sink in the bathroom, and had an enclosed patio off the room that felt a bit more private. We finally received a discount which was nice but all in all I would not stay again.
