The Gardena Hotel is a pretty little hotel situated off a side street, yet very conveniently located near water taxis, water buses, and the train station. It allows you to explore and enjoy Venice and all its beauty. Our rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious.
Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and were more than helpful in getting us places. Definitely a safe area with a pretty courtyard down the way where you can get some delicious coffee and enjoy the day.
A small warning that has nothing to do with the hotel, but with no doubt every hotel you stay at in Venice, leave your windows closed because there are mosquitoes ready and willing to bite you while you were trying to sleep no matter what the temperature.
Room Tip:
If you’re going to need a porter with your luggage to get it back to the train station, ask the front desk to arrange a porter and price. It can change from loading at the station and all hotels.
