The property is absolutely amazing, blending modern conveniences with the charm of traditional Cape Dutch heritage. The facilities were fantastic, the service was truly first-class, and everything was spotlessly clean. I would definitely return – a perfect balance of luxury and heritage. Highly recommended!

Updated old Cape elegance in a pastoral setting

Despite the fact that the Alphen is undergoing renovations and it was during Level 3 lockdown- we would t even have known. Our suite was impeccable- loved the 2 bathrooms! The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated and the Marshall blue tooth speaker was a nice touch. The lovely receptionist, who’s name escapes me was delightful and couldn’t do enough for us! I wish I didn’t have to depart at the crack of dawn to make my flight, but fortunately my companion was able to have a delicious breakfast and enjoy a leisurely morning.
