A wonderful stay.
We were were given a very warm welcome on our arrival by the proprietor and shown to our room. Despite having tea making facilities in the room, we were offered, and accepted, a pot of tea for two. The room was a newly decorated, modern, and clean room with a very comfy double and a single bed. Breakfast was ordeded for 09.45 in the morning and was delivered to our room, exactly on time. Checkout was also very straightforward , with my only regret being that we were only staying the 1 jight. I would therefore highly recommend staying at this delightful and welcoming hotel

Peacocks B&B
Great little B&B. Great hosts. Gave us a lift to the restaurant we had booked and let us borrow an ipad to watch bbc iplayer. Excellent breakfast in the room. Have stayed at the Peacock three times now.

Fabulous property with lovely host. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great the next morning and we were able to leave our cases at the property to later in the afternoon. This was our second time staying and we’ll definitely be back again. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Peacock guest house is a very comfortable place to stay within a 5 minute walk to the seafront in Largs. Elaine has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast choice is incredible and (during COVID restrictions) is served in your room at a time if your choosing. Exceptional service and a warm Scottish welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

My mum and I had a fantastic 2 night stay. The room was a great size with a single and double bed. Everything was scrupulously clean which was very important to us(particularly at this difficult time). The breakfast choice was brilliant and of a very high quality. The pancakes, bacon and maple syrup were amazing. We were very happy to have breakfast served at the table in our room at a time of our choice. There was a fridge in the room with a large bottle of chilled water and little sachets of squash. Lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Even decaf coffee and tea. The location is brilliant with onsite parking and plenty of free off street parking. Less than 10 minutes walk to the town centre. I am already planning my next visit. Thanks Elaine for a lovely stay.

We stayed in a well kept and clean double room, the bed was comfortable, shower was excellent, the pre ordered breakfast was delicious, and served at exactly the arranged time. Superb hosting. Highly recommend staying here on a visit to Largs.

Home from home stay
We were in the position of needing somewhere comfortable for a short stay in order to attend a family funeral. Peacocks looked a better bet than a chain hotel, and it was, from several angles. Location - great; access to takeaway food - very good; comfort - a home from home; room service breakfast - outstanding. The only thing it doesn't have is a sea view, but it's only a few minutes away! The Thistle room is a little small to take a dining table and chairs as well as a 3rd bed, but I guess that's a temporary lockdown problem, and it wasn't a big issue. Elaine is an excellent host and made us very welcome. We have recommended the guest house to members of our family already.
