The Fleeting business trip stop-over
What a lovely couple who run the guest house! I travelled up from London for a business meeting in Glasgow. Anything that could go wrong with my travel arrangements that morning did go wrong, but unknown to myself at the time, there was stress-free assistance lying in wait at the Alamo guest house upon my arrival. The hosts were extremely helpful and very kind. The amenities are outstanding for a guest B&B and nestled in a fantastic part of Glasgow. The only point I can raise which I wasn't completely sure on was that as I was leaving at 5:30 am for the airport, I wasn't quite sure where I should safely leave my room key, and as such inadvertently wandered into the owner's private living space thinking it was an office. Oops! Somewhat deeply embarrassing for me at that ungodly time of the morning, and probably not that pleasant for them either, being woken up by someone who is lost and trying to find somewhere safe to leave the room keys... However, overall, what a fantastic 1 night stay with very friendly and welcoming hosts.

Like staying w/family w/wonderful accommodations!
Visited Glasgow with my partner and to visit family at the University of Glasgow. The Alamo Guest house was not only perfectly located across the University (Kelvingrove Park in between) but the room and house was very traditional home like and staff were the friendliest folks you could ever ask for. I would definitely stay there again. Loved it.

An Absolutely wonderful stay
Although we only stayed for a couple of nights, we can safely say that this is the best guest house/hotel that we have ever stayed in. The owners were lovely and helpful, the room was absolutely gorgeous (as was the hotel itself!), and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We simply do not have a bad word to say about this incredible guest house. Many thanks to the owners and staff involved for making our quick stay an absolute delight.

Wonderful Guest House in West End of Glasgow
We stayed at The Alamo guest house for 2 nights in December on a short trip to Glasgow for my wife’s birthday. From check-in to departure Steve and Emma could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The house is part of a gorgeous listed 19th century tenement in the West End of Glasgow overlooking Kelvingrove Park and museum. It is perfectly located for exploring the city as it’s only a half hours walk to George square or 15 minutes by bus. The surrounding area is also worthy of exploration with Kelvingrove Museum and park only a short walk away. We upgraded to one of the suites and it was fabulous, the room was very spacious with a lovely big bay window and the huge bed was so comfortable. Steve had taken great trouble to design the room for comfort and style, the fascinating en-suite bathroom arrangement is quite unique and quirky. The furnishings and decor were very tasteful and the original artwork was a nice touch. The house itself is really beautiful inside with highly ornate ceilings and coving throughout. A substantial breakfast with a delicious choice of fruits, cereals and yoghurts as well as a cooked option is served in the dining room overlooking the park. For dining out there are numerous restaurants and bistros only a stone’s throw away and the area always felt safe when walking around. Steve and Emma make you feel really at home here and we shall certainly return to the Alamo when next staying in Glasgow. Bob and Maggie Reid

Great Hotel would highly recommend
Was a lovely clean hotel and the service was amazing only downside was that the room we were given room 2 didn’t have a bathroom so I had to go out into the hall to use the bathroom which I found a little daunting. Breakfast was amazing I would stay again just making sure I didn’t have this room again
