4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tokyo

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly times to visit Tokyo are in January, August, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. During this time, visitors can discover significant landmarks, museums, and temples, as well as enjoy urban shopping and admire the city's stunning architecture. Additionally, exploring the natural parks and indulging in the local seafood scene will provide a great value for money experience while immersing oneself in the vibrant culture of Tokyo.
  2. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. 4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Tokyo’s excellent public transport links, you might find an independently owned hotel further afield that is more likely to be affordable while still being well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there is often excellent value for money.
