The upkeep and cleanliness was not super good, but also not super bad. Bathroom did not have a lot of counter space and no place to hang towels and washcloths for the next use. Breakfast was pretty good.

Stayed 5 days with my son. They didnt change our towels out fhe whole time we were their. When my son asked for more towels at the front desk. The lady rudely stated they dont have them .we would have to come back. When they were done with them.there was a mildew smell right when got off the elevator. I was guessing it was the ice machine. Had went bad, cause there wasn't ice on the third floor. We will probably pay a little extra next time. For little bit more renovated hotel.

We booked this hotel under the impression that the rooms would be comfortable and clean. That was not the case. Our room had outdated carpet with stains, a lumpy uncomfortable mattress and cigarette holes in the furniture. The lamp and shower head were broken, and they ran out of food at the continental breakfast even though we went to the lobby hours before it was over. It is conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg but we wouldn’t stay again.

It was amazing. We have been visiting CW for nearly 15 years. This is our first stay at the La Quinta, and it will NOT BE OUR LAST! The beds were amazing, breakfast was delicious and staff were wonderful. We are coming back next Saturday for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. We have already made our reservations here for next weekend.

My review is mainly for those traveling with a pet. The main part of the hotel might be okay, but the pet section is unacceptable. I understand that a pet room cannot be perfect, but it should be decent and fair. Online check-in was convenient but didn’t save time — I still had to re-enter all info at the front desk. The pool was green, internet was unreliable, and groups were loitering outside drinking and smoking both days/nights. There was broken glass and various trash throughout the outside of property. I stayed in a “pet room,” with a small dog and it was awful — the entire hotel floor reeked of urine and wet dog, the room was poorly maintained with mold in the bathroom, and the A/C barely worked. Staff was unhelpful and dismissive when we asked for a solution. We were finally given a noisy box fan that made it hard to talk or sleep.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a sign that stated the receptionist had stepped away and would be back. Upon her return the check in process was smooth. The initial appearance of the common areas seemed well kept and inviting. However, as we entered our room the smell of mold was overwhelming to the point it was hard to be in the room. The smell was only the beginning; the bathroom had a cracked celling with pieces missing not to mention cracked tiles in the shower. The final piece was the pool was not open and filthy, the gym had no equipment and was closed as was the aerobics room. I feel as though this hotel was significantly misrepresented and I paid $360.18 for this deception!! shame on hotels.com for suggesting this!

The room we had was run down. The bathroom cabinet was broken. Shower barely had any water coming out of the shower head. The curtains were broken. Half the buttons on the TV remote did not work.
