We have other hotels in the French Quarter that we prefer, but since this was a quick one night trip, we chose Wyndham because of the price. While it was ok for just one night, I would not recommend staying here for longer than that. The actual room is a bit dated, but it was clean, spacious, and served it's purpose. The front desk service was excellent. The elevators could use some service and maintenance. My issue was the noise levels in the middle of the night and the rude valet workers. Upon check out, it took forever to get our vehicle. When the valet finally drove it out, we placed our belongings in the truck and were about to leave. We almost always tip, but this particular morning, we did not have any cash on us. The valet stood next to the driver's side and basically demanded a tip from us. When we apologized and told him we unfortunately didn't have any cash, he told us to Cash App him. We don't have cash app. He then got aggravated and said we could Zelle him. It's not so much the tipping him that bothered me, it's the fact that he was so rude and demanded a tip. While tips are expected, they are not required and we simply just did not think about having cash on hand ahead of time. We love to tip well anywhere we go, but never in my life have I ever been hounded for a tip. Very unprofessional, tacky, and rude. Based off of this experience alone, I think we'll stick to our preferred hotels instead of Wyndham for future trips.
