Step up your game!
Hotel is very run down and smelly. Very disappointed I purchased an executive suite I was given a regular room with a king size bed. Called the front desk to ask and the girl said it was. It wasn’t it didn’t even look like the photo that were shown. The room smelled like pee. Obviously they don’t shampoo their carpets. The bathroom had a missing window. The toilet was elongated kind with a round toilet seat. So much patch work and not painted. The bed headboard and night stands had so much dust behind them. I was looking for a outlet to charge my phone. The ones in the room didn’t hold the plug they would just fall out. And to top it off the remote for tv was all taped up. It barely changed a channel but you had to get out of bed to turn it off n on. The only good thing was the bed had very clean linens. It used to be very nice when Best Western name was behind it. Hotel Del Rio you really need to work on it. Starting with the loud people partying till after 1:00am.

Second time well worth it
Traveling from the US To Puerto Vallarta. Our second stay. Friendly professional staff, rooms are older but have all of the things we need for a one night trip. Pet friendly and the free breakfast was very good. We will certainly stay here on all of our trips back and forth.

Del Rio Upgrades are so nice!
We’ve stayed here many times because it’s pet friendly and the outdoor areas are wedding-worthy beautiful. The rooms weren’t so pretty. We checked in this time and were so surprised that our room was simple but beautiful and well done. Good job there! The upgrades are in progress so all rooms have not been completed. The restaurant was very accommodating, tasty food and good service - as always. It’s nice to be able to take your pet and eat outside. There’s an abundance of kitty’s there, they can be insistent on getting a snack.

First time at Hotel del Rio. Check in was easy and fast. I don’t speak Spanish and that was not an issue. It’s dated but everything works and everything was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was just what we needed after 8 hours driving. Roomy and clean. Went just down the highway to Los Alamos for dinner. Excellent. Very nice and relaxing pool. Breakfast was provided and did not disappoint. Fresh juice and options on the food. Excellent Wi-Fi to get caught up. Will plan on staying here again.

We have often stayed here as it's a great pet friendly option with motel setup and accommodating for dog owners. We stayed in some of the newer remodeled rooms and it was really nice! The AC was super strong which was great in the recent heat! ;) The hotel does a great free breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. Location is right off the main road and very close to all banks, restaurants, gas stations, OXXO whatever you would need for a road trip but very safe & quiet at night. Always stay here whenever possible! Gracias!

Bring your own towels
This is about as nice a place as you can expect. Unfortunately the service is poor. The front desk is slow and the housekeeping is even slower. The craziest thing is how they do their towels. They will take your towels from your room after servicing it and then you might or might not get them back. If you do it will be in the evening so if you think you will need to shower mid day or don’t want to constantly be waiting hours for towels, bring your own. I have never seen this before anywhere else in the world.
