Doesn't earn a Plus rating.
Overall, not impressed. This hotel doesn't present as a 'Plus' at all. Check-in was OK, but the agent couldn't sense how little we knew about the property and wasn't forthcoming with the details we needed. So I had to drag the information out of him. Main door to the unit functioned and locked, but the striker plate was very deformed and the door had 3/8" of play when it was shut & locked. So, it didn't feel secure. Bathroom door was the cheapest hollow core door you could find. Curved curtain rod was mounted a little loose and sagged. Faceplate on the shower controls were old ant not shiny at all. And the shower control desperately needs to be tightened. Apparently the housekeeping staff stops at 'doing their job' and never tells maintenance when something needs to be tightened up. Breakfast area is too small, so it's cramped and disorganized. Staff wasn't keeping up, so the guests had to ask for refills on thigs like plates, waffle batter and whipped cream.

Hotel was nice and clean. The balconies over looking the pool were really nice. All the staff I encountered were friendly. Drinks and food at the bar were delicious. If they updated the bathrooms it would really take the rooms up a notch. Quick 5 minute walk to the beach. Can’t remember if they offered towels and beach chairs for a fee but I know they were available.

Ok but not great
An ok stay for just laying your head before a cruise but hotel is run down with signs of wear in both the rooms and hallways. The room smelled of a strong smell of bleach over top of mildew, the bathroom water was yellow and there was hair on the bathroom walls from previous guests. The curtains had yellow water stains at the bottom. The breakfast was ok - was surprised they used plastic cutlery in today’s day and age but definitely understand it’s easier. The staff were lovely and helpful though.

The building is dark and musty. The rooms are musty We had to ask the front desk for a battery for the tv remote because someone had taken one. If I had to use a word to describe the hotel it would be dank or dirty Booked a room for 6 people since it was only two nights. It was miserable. The windows don’t open even a crack so there is zero fresh air. The thermostat is cheap and inaccurate and the through the wall A/C unit doesn’t bring in any fresh air. Chipped up cabinet top on tv stand and you have to hold down the lid on the coffee maker or it turns off. Same cabinet has water damage non the Lower portion since obviously humidity cannot be removed Breakfast was just yuck One elevator so be prepared to wait. The building smells moldy and if you have any issues with mold etc avoid this place. The front desk seem disinterested in any kind of interaction. How on earth the price on this room is this high is flabbergasting. A complete rip off. Cancelled booking for after our cruise to the Hilton. Hopefully it’s a better pace before it’s actually cheaper than this place.
