I've stayed here a few times and it's always been just fine, just what we need. The customer service is always good, but the condition of the room was not this time around. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the floor was slanted in the main room, so things were rolling off the counter. Then the bathroom sink started leaking. They quickly addressed the leaking sink, but we were still dissatisfied with the condition of the room this time around.

Great location. Easy off the highway. Walkable to many attractions. Cute hotel. Staff was very helpful. We used valet- but you could very easily find a parking garage on your own across the street. I liked the coffee machine downstairs.

Boston Winter
We got in late asks was greater by the evening manager who was absolutely delightful to talk with. I recommend the large suite if you stay here. Very roomy, king bed, fridge. Only thing missing is a dresser for clothes. This is a historic hotel, the bathroom has a separate heating unit which you need to turn on especially in winter. I really liked the decor and originality. The kitchen has vending machines and a coffee maker. I really enjoyed my stay here and being walking distance to shopping, foods and coffee.

Fine place to stay near Hynes Convention Center
The Copley Square Hotel (CSH) is conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk from the Hynes Convention Center. The CSH building is (very) old but the facility has been recently renovated. My room was modernish, large by Boston standards and had all of the expected amenities. Heating worked. Internet was fine. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. There are many, many eating options nearby, with an upscale market across the street. I arrived late, and so used the vending-machine, guest kitchen on the first floor. Much to my amazement, the prices for sodas and snacks from the machines were less than at neighborhood convenience stores, and less than at my place of work (a university). I am very accostomed to hotels charging outrageous prices for products from vending machines. I was delighted to see that the CSH did not do so. Yes, I know that this is a small thing considering that the cost of hotel rooms in Boston in the equivalent of a hundred (and more) sodas from a vending machine. That said, I appreciate that CSH chose not to take advantage of their guests.
