Great place: great location
A well run and friendly hotel in an excellent location for exploring the Forest of Dean. The hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation was comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again if in the area.

Restful haven
Very restful accomodation with extremely caring owners whose aim is for your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. It's a wonderful place to stay for walkers and cyclists due to the proximity of nearby tracks and the extra facilities offered by Edale House eg safe cycle storage, wet room etc There are also lots of places of interest to visit in the area and the Woodman Inn next door is excellent for evening meals.

A great weekend retreat
We stopped for a couple of nights to use as a base for exploring the Wye valley. The owners made us feel very welcome and offered recommendations for places to visit near by.
The rooms are very well equipped/decorated and funished. The breakfast bacon was so tasty we actually went to the butchers it came from to bring a couple of pounds back home with us!!
There is a pub/restaurant next door. On the Saturday evening there was a band on but we could hardly hear it in our room even though it overlooked the pub.
Would go back again when we next want to explore the area more.

very clean and tidy
The hotel was very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was individually cooked very well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I did not like that the "En-suite" bathroom was across the hall.

Lovely homely guest house. Run by a friendly and helpful couple. Great for access to local attractions and seconds walk from two good pubs. We will be going back.
