I had a terrible experience at Grand Resort and SPA on 15 December, 2018. We booked a twin room online using hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel the twin beds have very hard mattress. We asked for soft mattress but they didn't have one. Instead they gave us a room with King size bed. But we needed two beds and asked for an extra bed. They wouldn't let us have the extra bed without an additional charge of $30 on top of the $73 we paid for the twin bed. Although this is entirely the hotel's problem they wouldn't waiver the additional charge. We have to leave the hotel. The people at the reception desk have no idea of hospitality and how to treat customers. There are other excellent hotels in Bahir Dar and I don't recommend this hotel at all for visitors.
