The hotel was clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be the lighting in the bathroom. They need vanity lights for us girls to put on their makeup and do their hair.

2/10 Poor

Our room smelled like a dog had used the bathroom in it repeatedly, and the carpet was sticky feeling. To top it off whoever cleaned it didn’t even bother to get out the last peoples soap from the bathtub. I really wish you could trust the photos posted online because this was completely different than expected.

Very nice place to stay!
We completely love this place. We checked in earlier than the timeline, but the manager, she kindly let us checked in. The place was cozy & warm. The manager was courteous, very friendly and go out of her way to assist us with questions. Breakfast was delicious! Definitely will recommend this lodge to others.

Hotel's city was flooded and locked down due to hurricane. Staff would not let me cancel despite the national guard rescuing people from surrounding areas. Every road into town was closed due to flooding. Couldn't even check in.

Pictures were a little misleading. I didn't expect an older motel style room. The room was very roomy and clean. Was not told any information about breakfast at check in. Breakfast was good though.

It is a very nice hotel for the area if you want something quick, clean and reasonable. Not a lot of space to maneuver if you have a large SUV or a crew cab pick up but it is manageable. Staff is very friendly and helpful and while you're there you may see a herd of elk pass through early in the morning.

mouse (mice) in my garbage can
I've been staying in hotels for over 50 years and this is the first time I have ever seen a mouse in my room. I had thrown part of a hamburger away in the garbage can upon arrival. My first night I heard noises coming from the swamp cooler (cheaper version of air conditioners) even when it wasn't running & then rustling coming from the area of the garbage can. The next night I hear more rustling this time just from the garbage can area. The next morning around 5:30 AM I was awakened by the noise and turned the light on and saw a small brown mouse jump out of the garbage can and go under the armoire! I was traumatized & tried to call the front desk but the phone did not work in my room. I then went to the office and rang the buzzer several times, knocked on the window & door but no one answered. I finally called the hotel and the owner answered who met me at the office. I asked to checkout immediately as I couldn't stay in a hotel with mice. In his words he said "I will take great care of you and give you a generous credit". He took me to a different building of the hotel that was attached by a common portico and convinced me to stay and promised no mice. The wife of the owner said the exterminator who removed the mouse (mice?) said I must have either brought them in my suitcase (really from FL?) or they came in the door when it was opened. (I never left it open). She also threatened legal action if I told anyone about the mouse. The generous credit was only 1 night out of 5!
