    Peaceful quite would stay again
Well I expected worse got the penthouse for me the wife and 4 kids it's really not that bad its peaceful rooms are non smoking but every floor has a sweet covered deck with chairs and ashtrays haven't tried the pool yet its kind of small but not to far of a walk it was locked but it's been raining and its after 7pm so they may have closed it early the hideaway bed is my only complaint thus far as it's kind of falling apart probably should have gotten a double queen room but we needed the mini kitchenette so went with penthouse it's nice and peaceful out here really not a bad drive to get to town and right down the street from silver dollar nice diner and bar and grill both within easy walking distance only on day 2 of our stay but so far so good I'd recommend just not the hideaway bed you really cant beat the price and yes you have to go down the street to check in not sure why some people got mad about this this review is for the lodge not sure about the campground but it looks nice and may try out camping here in the future but if you have kids or are a smoker that doesn't mind stepping outside it's pretty decent way better than most the reviews are telling you just understand the lodge isnt meant to be a 5 star hotel but it's perfect for the family and way more quite than the main drag also veterans discount I didnt realize this when we reserved and they still gave us the discount so a definite plus for all my fellow vets.

    Great family place to stay.
We stayed in the hotel. It was spacious and very clean. The pool was a short walk and I loved the open back porch. Having SDC season passes I will definitely stay several more times this summer.

Room was clean but very outdated. There was only one other room occupied while we were there on a very busy weekend so we had run of the place. We primarily picked this hotel because we had a dog with us and there are limited options if you are traveling with an animal. It was close to Silver Dollar City so that was a plus. Next time I would probably find another hotel that takes dogs and offers breakfast.

    Not worth the money!
Had to hunt down a staff member at a neighboring campground to check in. Hotel was completely dark when we arrived, no exterior lighting except one parking lot light, had to use a flash light to read room numbers. We were creeped out enough that my husband insisted on doing a perimeter check before allowing me to search for our room. Zero staff at the hotel. The room was clean but definitely not updated in any way and certainly not worth the $80 a night charge. We stayed down the street and that hotel had excellent staff, bright and welcoming grounds, a similar room but $30 cheaper a night. We definitely won’t be staying here again and are somewhat confused how it has gotten such high ratings thus far.
