Lovely staff ,great food, great beers and wines Breakfast is served at 9 o'clock, as not an ideal time for business people who are staying. Bedroom was a bit tired and shower had mold stains on ceiling.

6/10 Good

3 night stay, the room looked drab and tired but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom furnishings were ok although it needed a deep clean. The policy of not cleaning the room during occupancy since COVID should be a guest request not stipulation. There was an ample supply of tea, coffee, it would have been nice if the complimentary water and biscuits were refreshed daily. We didn’t eat in the evening but the breakfast was really good. We arrived Sunday to find food finished at 5.30pm, but were given suggestions of places to eat. Unfortunately we returned to find the bar closes at 8.30 Sunday. We found all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to stay. Staff very friendly and can't do enough to help, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are very clean and spacious and food is excellent. Good off road parking and a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach. Will most definitely be staying again.

Bathroom needs attention , old shower, black mould on tile grout & seal . Ceiling paint work falling away & water stained. Soap holder in shower falling off . Window in bedroom has a lot of rotten wood . Bed was very comfortable & the decoration & style was tasteful . We know the building is old but the windows & bathroom need attention. Location great & breakfast fantastic

8/10 Very good

Ideally situated for a good walk between Sandbanks and Bournemouth. The food is lovely and has a good choice of gluten free meals, which was good for me, this also applied to the breakfast. The rooms could do with a bit of redecorating but perfectly adequate. Note that if you are a night owl or early riser you have to access the room by the fire exit stairs leading from the car park as the middle door to the pub and front door is locked as soon as pub closes and before breakfast. I feel that as a guest, there should be some other option! I also think the price for the “Superior” double room is rather expensive for what you get. But overall it was a pleasant 2 night stay.

We stayed on a Thursday evening which is quiz night. Very noisy in our room until 10:30 when it finished. Friendly staff. Nice room. Excellent choice of cooked breakfast but would have liked a choice of cereals or pastries.
