This was one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. The Victorian style, while over the top for day to day living, was perfect for a romantic trip to Scotland. The breakfast was good, and the Inn was in reasonable walking distance to old town sites. There were even several good restaurants and bars on the street. Couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Superb accommodations in family-owned bnb. Simon is the ultimate host; he helped carry my bags to my room, served fantastic breakfast cooked by his mom, called taxi for me, offered assistance during the Fringe & was most personable as a true Scot. Very neat & clean room, clean linen & towels switched for used ones, new electrical outlets to meet devices needs. Lovely home the family has managed for 35 years. Just outside the bustling city centre in a quiet & safe neighborhood. I’ll return here when I return to Edinburgh. Fantastic stay.

This Guest House was excellent. Simon was helpful far beyond required. The room had nice and thoughtful touches including washcloths a first so far in 3 weeks of travel. Breakfasts were excellent and best coffee to date. 30 minutes walk from a frenetic Old City center. Bus stop right down the block if you choose not to walk. We spent a couple of nights at lauderville guest house. Simon was very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. Room was clean and comfortable. There were nice options offered for breakfast. Parking was available. Property is close to bus stops to get to Edinburgh city center. There are good restaurants near by as well.

A great location. Bus access to down town is one block over. In a very nice neighborhood. The host was so helpful with suggestions/recommendations. Great eating places/pubs within a quick walk. Room/bathroom was spotless. Rooms are very quiet. Breakfast is amazing with excellent choices and cooked to order. Parking easily available on side street next to property.

Symon was an exceptional host, the breakfast each morning was fantastic it really set us up for the day. It was easy to get a bus into the center. If you want to walk it that is also doable takes about 30mins. Fabulous spot to go up to the Pub and have a nice meal. Location is perfect. The room and bed comfortable. Thsnks Symon for the great stay. It does have steps up to the room but not a problem for us.

Lovely guest home

We loved our stay!! The guest house is so charming and our room was beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and the room immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the cold water and snacks available outside of breakfast time. The guest house is in quick walking distance to the bus stops and Simon was very helpful with recommendations and helping us figure out how to navigate the town. My favorite part was the lovely garden in the back. I spend an wonderful few hours reading in the relaxing garden. Highly recommend this lovely guest house. Can’t wait to return some day!
