My non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes. The front desk refused to give me a receipt or tell me how much I had been charged when I checked out. They said "your receipt is available from Expedia ". I travel to Santa Barbara frequently and I will never stay here again.

Decent little motel in a convenient location in the city. Great little coffee shop next door (Vices & Spices). Room was comfortable, little run down but expected for an old motel. Overall good experience.

Easy, quick check in and check out. Quiet for a downtown location. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed. Only negative is the room needs to be repainted; several areas on the walls were badly marred.
