Pullman Wuxi less than 15min away from airport. Happy to be picked up as we arrived late night. We didn’t see the taxi queue at the arrival hall. Transfer to hotel was quick. 3 persons came to pick us. They carried a card that bore my initials as instructed. Driver 1 took 2 luggage & both of us. Another concierge staff, Spark, with whom I was writing back & forth with, drove a Pullman van that carried our equipment bag. 2 bottles of mineral water were kept for us in our car.
Arrived at hotel check-in desk, the female & male staff did a quick checkin for us. Gave us enough access cards to use, quickly assigned our unit. They did not introduce the hotel to us. But Jin, the guest relations, handed me her card, told me if I needed help just call her. She informed me about the breakfast floor, gym etc. She & Spark & another concierge staff helped us with our luggage. They spoke English!
Room was spacious with lots of space for 3 pieces of luggage, lots of drawers & cabinets to store our clothes & shoes! Bathroom amenities were sufficient. Iron board, umbrella & an electric kettle plus all the cups & glasses & mineral water were all there.
A few problems surfaced:
1. Bathroom - ‘fishtank’ type, we put the blind down.
2. See-through bathroom door, couldn’t close due to uneven floor. 2307.
3. Room faced a piece of land which was under construction. The noise didn’t affect us as we left early for our events.
4. Window ledge dusty.
