It is a wonderful place for families with children. There were choices for different types of restaurants, although those within the hotel itself were expensive. The spa and swimming area is a plus for families and the restaurants there were reasonably priced.

Always with warm welcome and greetings. Surrounding is nice, one can walk around the river. Facilities are good with 3 restaurants, hot spring and swimming pool. Food is so so.It works good if you have a car, otherwise the transportation to and from the hotel will be a complication. Be sure not to have a smoking room if you do not smoke. Air conditioning could not be regulated.

Good side trip from Sapporo. The staff did speak limited English. Great onsen and spa. The Japanese restaurant serves great quality of food, too bad there is no menu in English, so had to guess what in it. free shuttle from Sapporo station is a plus too.

Good to have free shuttle bus provided. In general, the staff are nice. But, the room is at the corner of the corridor, no privacy if you want to pull up your curtains. In other words, no view at all. I got sick while using the pool and spa as I could not communicate with the staff in Japanese. I am still paying medical expenses for it.

The hotel is very larger and very convenient for families. The management organizes many events for kids. The water park is fun and everything is well organized. The shuttle runs every hour from the station and takes 45min.

This was a nice hotel that would be perfect for a relaxing getaway, but if you're hoping to do some sightseeing, it's not an ideal location. Unless you're driving, you'll have to take a taxi several miles to the nearest train station, which is small and only has several trains heading to Sapporo an hour. Taxi included, it'll take you 45 minutes to an hour just to get into the city, and set you back $40 or $50 round trip every time. Again, great hotel, but if you plan to get around and do some sightseeing you're better off finding something closer to the city. We booked this as it was one of the last hotels with vacancies available in order to see the Sapporo snow festival, and as nice as it was, I can see why it had openings due to its secluded location.
