This is a really nice hotel not far from the station. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet & had all the expected amenities. Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast has huge! I would definitely stay here again.

A good night's stay

I enjoyed a one-night stay very much, in the cleverly designed single room with its own separate bathroom. Very welcoming, all amenities provided (apart from a holder for toothbrush and paste, but it is a very small bathroom!) and beautifully presented and tasty breakfast. A word of warning if you're walking there from the station - it's uphill and quite steep!

The property was clean, well presented and the staff were very nice. The reception wasn’t particularly obvious causing us some confusion (might have just been us). We weren’t told about the £10 charge for parking until we were checking in, even after messaging the hotel and asking if the was parking on site. It’s around a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre but be prepared for the uphill walk back.

The hotell is next to a busy road so there is a lot of noise all day. Room was old and worn and not cleaned very well. Bathroom was OK, renovated but small and no place for your toiletries. Reception, lounge and breakfast area is very small and not that great. Would recommend other alternatives if available unless the price is very good ( under 75).
