This hotel is truly unique! On the cliff overlooking the sea and next to the ruins of King Arthur’s castle. Dinner was excellent (borsch and venison). Breakfast was fine. Staff are helpful and friendly. The owner had even upgraded my room. Plenty of onsite parking. Incredible location!

2/10 Poor

While the views and location are unbeatable, that’s about the only positive thing I can say for this sad, dilapidated hotel. I’m genuinely sad that such potential is in the hands of terrible management. Weird vibes, awful art, Scientology BS everywhere, hate-spewing right-wing owners. I genuinely hope someone comes along to save this sad grand dame. Also, the plastic RV bathroom pod in the room is UNHINGED. Save yourself the trouble and go to the King Arthur’s Arms.

The room was clean and had a great view. Having an on suite with plenty of room for the dog.The staff were friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our dog which she was delighted with. The dinner was pretty good and overall I would stay again and highly recommend the hotel.

We had a great stay, because the position of the castle is exceptional. However the bathroom are very spartanic. A plastic box that you expect in a camper. This is not a standard for a castel
