The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was eclectic but seems like it has not been updated for a while which I was okay with. The cable for the TV in the common living area did not work but did work in the bedroom. My major concern was that the room had roaches. I bought some raid and sprayed the room which did not seem to help. This was so unexpected especially for this price point.

I would really like to give this hotel 5 stars. But. There are some issues. First, overall cleanness. We got a room that was not cleaned, we got a new one that was big but looked like a dungeon. Strange of the reception to call it an upgrade when I was clear on my wish for a balcony with Manhattan view. The last one was perfect. I used the gym that was ok in itself, but there was nothing I could use to clean the equipment, no water or towels. The breakfast was one of the better for a NYC breakfast and had a convenient late serving. Although my small issues I will definitely stay here again.

Everything about my stay was perfection. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable - best pillows ever. The city view and balcony really helped to make the room a little more than a typical hotel room.
