Disappointing
The hotel has good reviews and that is why I picked it. Check in was fast. The 3rd floor smelled HORRIBLE. I noticed the same smell when I opened the fridge in my room (which did not work). The room could have been cleaner. We weren't given enough towels either. The beds were not comfortable. Pool and hot tub were not working. I did not know this until we arrived I don't usually complain about hotels because I have never really had a bad experience when I choose rooms based on reviews. Overpriced for the shape of the room.

Double charged
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Our room wasn't ready by 3pm so we had to wait in our vehicle for about half an hour. Breakfast was delicious. The only real issue we had was getting charged twice for our room. We paid on hotels.com and then the clerk charged our card when we arrived. Told us they don't have the authority to reimburse us and we need to wait to speak to the manager on Monday morning at 8am. Called Monday and was told the manager is running late. Emailed manager with no reply. Hotels.com said they can't refund because my confirmation can't be found in the system.

Nearly everything about the hotel was excellent. I would heartily recommend it. Breakfast was merely OK. Eggs and hashbrowns obviously had been sitting around. Try the pancakes instead.

Check in was supposed to be at 3 pm. I arrived at 3 and was given the key, only to find the room had not been cleaned. When I went to the front desk and ask how long it would take for it to be ready I was told a half hour. When I came back at 4 o’clock the housekeepers were still in the room and it still wasn’t ready. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes while they made the bed then explained to us how they were shortstaffed.
