Hot Springs was a fun town with some cute little shops. My family visited the national park center where they received their Junior Park Ranger badges and toured the bathhouse. We also did some hiking (very steep hills) and visit the look out tower.

Spent time at the Garvan Woodland gardens to see the spring flowers. Walked around Bath House Row and had a great Mexican meal. Enjoyed the piano player in the lobby and we were able to get right in to the Pancake House across the street for breakfas

Great location for a weekend getaway. There's so much history and no fee to visit the national park and museums within it. I loved the local vibes that weren't there when I visited Hot Springs 15 yrs ago. Garvan Woodland Gardens is beautiful.

It is a "virgin" small town and you will be able to help the local economy the right way, buying from moms and pops businesses. Customer services is prime, lots of smiles and good energy. Hope big corporations don't buy out them anytime soon.

Holiday weekends are very busy. You will need dinner reservations for most locations. Week day/night is much less crowded. Make sure to learn about the thermal springs and take home some water from the free spring water filling stations!

Take the trolley tour then explore! We took a late tour & had explored on our own. Tour the Fordyce Bathhouse Visitor Center and Museum - free. Loved it! Go at your own pace. Hunt for fountains and walk around the trails.

The downtown area and park are very pleasant tourist destinations with great scenery, history, and daytime activities. The surounding area seems to get sketchy fairly quickly though so it is best to stay nearby

We go to Hot Springs every year, we love the races, but every year we try to do something new too. This year we did the Trolley Tour. Very interesting, kids stayed engaged, ages 13-80, all enjoyed it.
