blown away with perfection
Style was gorgeous, attention to detail impeccable. Every thing new and clean, most comfortable bed I’ve experienced at any luxury hotel. The soaking tubs and bath robes so comfortable. The concierge service wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for more useful amenities the gas grill, out door fireplace and rock cleaning station were more than appreciated. I would give this place a 210% better than many luxury hotels I’ve stayed.

Relaxing Stay
This is an adorable, small business motel. The room was perfect for our needs and the garden area to clean rockhound finds was ideal! I would suggest bringing a small coffee maker if you’re not keen on instant coffee or you aren’t a tea person. My friend had to get his coffee fix at the restaurants in town because he’s a snob about instant coffee (haha). I loved the little touches of consideration for room amenities (popcorn, tea setup, cold water in the fridge, etc.). Would make this my go-to for Mt. Ida if they allowed my pup to stay also, but I know there are many pet owners who might not clean up after their doggos very well. Thank you for the lovely accommodations!

Our family really enjoyed our two night stay in the Crystal Suite. Beautiful room and conveniently located for our rockhounding adventures. The rock cleaning station in the patio area was a great touch!

The room was very pretty. Nice tub with bath salts. Quiet. Restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed. Nice yard. Improvements would be some bubble bath. Drawers for clothing. Something to hang clothes An armoire if there is room or a coat rack would help. Thanks

We loved staying at the Rockhound, it was perfect for everything we needed. My only suggestion would be to add a blackout curtain to block the streetlight across the road. Other than that it was the perfect little getaway!

This was our second stay, and within two weeks of our first stay, at the Rockhound. It was so convenient & enjoyable the first time that we had to get back before the summer ended!
My husband & I found tons of gorgeous crystals at the Avatar mine & at Crystal Vista, and the ability to clean them up in the Rockhound’s garden is an amazing amenity. As is the bathroom— the shower & bathtub are the ultimate way to end a day of climbing and mining, as I believe I stated in my last review. Can’t be overstated!
The staff are fantastic; they’re gracious and helpful.
Overall, we can’t wait till we can get back!

Beautiful Perfect Room!
This is one of my very favorite hotels of all time! I believe there are just 3 beautifully renovated rooms in a historic building. From the lovely wallpaper to the gorgeous and comfortable bed, to all the little amenities, to the fabulous bathroom - the value is incredible. There is even a pretty little courtyard where you can relax. If you are there on a Saturday you can walk about 100 steps to the courthouse where they have live music in the evening. I wasn’t sure how check in would work but they will text you with info on how to open your room and you just park out front.

We stayed at the Rockhound Boutique after a day of quartz mining. Check-in & entry were a breeze.
Only one (micro) issue-- there was no toilet paper in our room. I texted to ask for some and literally within seconds we had toilet paper & a sincere apology delivered to our door. Excellent response time from the owners!
Our room was luxuriously adorable and had everything we needed to recover from a swelteringly hot day at the mine. I have never enjoyed a shower, followed by a bath in the AMAZING bathtub, more.
Everything about our experience at the Rockhound was spot-on. The graciousness of the owners was obvious throughout our stay.
Cannot wait to go back; the Rockhound will be our go-to for mining getaways for my husband & me. We used to suffer through hot nights in tents to be near mines, now we know (& sleep) better!

This was the most fun and charming little find in Mt. Ida. After dropping my kiddos off at nearby Camp Ozark, I needed a quiet place to stay for the evening without driving back to Hot Springs. This is only a couple of miles down the road, I could pull straight up to my door and the room is so charming. It had everything I needed and more - the owners have thought of everything! I couldn't believe all that I got for the price. They have a gem here. Highly recommend an evening or 2 at this lovely little place.

We are already planning a return trip; that should speak volumes. It's within easy walking distance of the outdoor Front Porch stage, where local and regional bands play mostly roots Americana on Saturday nights all summer long.
